CarbZen uses AI to estimate carbohydrate content from food photos. Estimates are approximate and should not be used as a substitute for medical or dietary advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for nutrition guidance.
CarbZen offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("CarbZen Pro") that unlock unlimited daily scans. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Non-subscribers may use up to 3 food scans per day at no charge. This limit resets daily.
Carbohydrate estimates are generated by AI and USDA nutritional databases. Results may vary based on portion size, food preparation, and image quality. CarbZen makes no guarantee of accuracy and is not liable for decisions made based on its estimates.
CarbZen and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Cognfy LLC. The app is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: attempting to circumvent scan limits, reverse-engineering the app, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
CarbZen is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or manage any medical condition, including but not limited to diabetes. Carbohydrate estimates are approximate and generated by artificial intelligence. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for dietary guidance, medical nutrition therapy, and carbohydrate counting for insulin dosing or any other medical purpose.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CHAD BERRY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF CARBZEN. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only — class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are handled per Apple's standard refund policy. We do not process payments or issue refunds directly.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cognfy LLC regarding your use of CarbZen and supersede any prior agreements.
